As an athlete, if you wish to become an elite pitcher, you must be willing to work long hours to develop this specialized skill. A pitcher must have passion and intensity for their sport. They must be willing to strive for perfection each time they practice.
The Mental Game
A pitcher must be extremely strong both mentally and physically. Their attitude must be confident, not cocky, in their athletic ability and humble in service to their team. Passion, intensity, confidence, humility, and striving for perfection are the building blocks, not only for all great athletes, but for all great pitchers. Each athlete must decide for themselves if they have level of passion to to put in the long hours required to become a pitcher.
Lessons and Clinics
Keeping a regimented practice routine throughout the year is extremely important. Pitchers are made in the off season. A pitcher must be willing to put in hundreds of mindful repetitions a week and use the skills they have developed during practice to help their team compete.
